This position is based in Sunnyvale, CA, with other Northrop Grumman sites such as San Diego, CA, Woodland Hills, CA, Redondo Beach, CA, or McClellan, CA considered (frequent travel to Sunnyvale required). This role offers a 9/80 work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead business management functions for a Product Line within the Machinery Operating Unit of Marine Systems, including financial forecasting, Earned Value Management (EVM), and monthly reporting.
• Oversee key line forecasting, work authorization, implementation of EV reporting, program budgeting, estimate at complete development, and various financial reporting activities.
• Develop business strategy and forecasting through internal or external deliverables such as the Long Range Strategic Plan and the Annual Operating Plan.
• Prepare and present financial data, including variance analysis and forecasts, to senior management and internal/external customers.
• Support pricing and proposal activities, from draft RFP to award, including RFP review, FAR clauses, subcontractor flow-downs, basis of estimates, indirect rates, pricing strategies, cash management, negotiation strategy, and oversight.
• Manage risks across multiple contract types from both execution and financial perspectives.
• Coordinate cost and schedule analyses and prepare reports to ensure contracts adhere to negotiated cost and schedule parameters and government cost control guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all Northrop Grumman policies, internal controls, and disclosed practices, and support internal and external compliance audits.
• Provide direct management for a team of Business Management analysts, fostering professional and leadership development within the Business Unit.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 8 years of industry-related experience in finance, accounting, or program control — OR — a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience. Will consider 12 years of applied experience in lieu of a degree.
• Understanding of DOD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, and the FAR.
• Prior experience with government program budgeting, forecasting, and Annual Operating Plan development.
• Prior experience leading a program, project, or personnel.
• Experience in proposal preparation, basis of estimate (BOE) preparation, and evaluations.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Experience with SAP and high proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• If based in Sunnyvale, ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time; up to 25% if working from another specified site in CA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience with financial systems such as COBRA, COGNOS, Business Warehouse, or MPP.
• Prior experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to teams and/or management.
• Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
• Experience in Cost CDRL preparation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance.

Pay

Primary level salary range: $133,100.00 – $199,700.00. The final offer considers scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
