About the role
This position supports bus operations and service planning projects such as Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), bus network redesign, zero emission transition planning, microtransit, and paratransit.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects related bus operations and service planning.
- Provide technical expertise to support cross-discipline project teams planning, designing and implementing bus and paratransit solutions for our clients.
- Complete cost estimates associated with planned projects.
- Serve as subject matter expert on bus fleet planning.
- Develop cost estimates and life cycle analyses to assess existing bus operations.
- Review technical documents such as design plans and other engineering related deliverables.
- Prepare quality assurance plans and oversee quality control programs.
- Prepare technical documents/reports and present to clients, project teams, etc.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships.
- Continuous, effective communication and relationship building with clients in the development and implementation of projects.
Requirements
- BS degree in planning or other related degree.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
- Experience working with major transit agencies.
- Experience completing network redesigns of bus networks.
- Experience planning for new BRT service.
- Experience with business development and proposal development for consulting work.

Pay
Base Compensation: $130,000 - $155,000 (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
