Manager, Broadcast Motion Design

About the role

As a Manager, Broadcast Motion Design, you will lead MLS Productions broadcast graphics projects for MLS, MLS NEXT Pro, and MLS NEXT broadcasts. You will create headshots and other static images to support broadcast graphics operations, design motion graphics for match broadcasts and studio shows, and assist with matchday operations on midweek evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Primary designer of motion graphics solutions for match broadcasts and studio shows
• Manage and create headshots and other static images for broadcast graphics packages
• Offer new ideas and designs for broadcast graphics packages
• Attend meetings to review and discuss broadcast graphics with MLS partners and staff
• Assist with matchday broadcast graphics operations on midweek evenings and weekends
• Art direct virtual studio designs
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of experience as a generalist producing high-end 2D and 3D motion graphics design
• Reel and portfolio of work

Skills

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Proficient with VizRT Artist and VizRT Arena
• Familiar with motion design, typography, color theory, illustration, photography, and layout
• High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency) is a plus

Pay

Competitive starting base salary of $82,000 - $88,500, based on individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.

Schedule

• Required to work from an MLS office at least four days a week
• Flexibility to work remotely on Fridays
• Option to take up to two additional remote flex days each month
