This role supervises Asset Protection (AP) teams, focusing on recruiting, development, performance oversight, and budgeting. The Manager of Asset Protection executes the company’s shrinkage reduction strategy, ensures safety and security, prevents theft, and enhances profitability while aligning with company values and business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and execute the organizational strategy set by the AP Division.
  • Develop strong relationships with store leadership, including Store Manager, Service Experience, Inventory Accuracy, and Human Resources, to drive shrink impact.
  • Act as the owner of building security and safety, educating employees on emergency preparedness and assisting in safety incidents.
  • Monitor and communicate all AP incidents and cases to ensure proper reporting and documentation.
  • Leverage data to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft.
  • Lead execution of the company’s shrink program, including shrink reduction plans and detecting theft or dishonesty.
  • Hire and develop talent to support internal and external investigations, auditing, shortage reduction programs, and AP awareness initiatives.
  • Use reporting tools to identify risks, mitigate loss, and maximize profitability.

Requirements

  • A valid security license is required for this role in Washington DC, Denver, Colorado, New York City, New York, St. Louis, Missouri, and Oregon.
  • Proven success in investigative, asset protection, and security procedures, as well as prior AP leadership experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Exception Based Reporting tools and Case Management Software.
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with employees and leaders.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, delegation, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with computers, monitoring, and surveillance technologies.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs.

Pay

Pay range: $70,000.00 - $112,500.00 annual. Offers depend on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
