This position advances people and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee experience. You will collaborate with business leaders, HR partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to align workforce priorities with business objectives, influencing culture, talent strategy, and scalable people operations within a mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Own content strategy and roadmap in partnership with leadership and product management
- Drive execution of assessment content roadmap and translate plans into team assignments
- Identify and address content gaps across academic and non-academic areas
- Monitor changes in state and national standards and ensure compliance
- Manage assessment content team: set direction, coach, and conduct performance reviews
- Scope and manage large-scale projects, collaborating with designers, freelancers, and vendors
- Create clear, repeatable processes for operational excellence and tool advocacy
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in assessment content development at commercial scale (EdTech, testing vendor, or educational publisher)
- 2+ years in a people-management role leading assessment content teams
- Multi-subject standards fluency with CCSS, NGSS, and state-specific frameworks across K-12 content areas
- Strong understanding of educational assessment design principles
- Proven project and production management skills, adept at scoping and delivering against timelines
- Experience managing freelance contributors and third-party vendors at scale
Pay
$95,000 – $110,000 annually
