Provides coaching and process execution for the team to develop and guide new application software features and enhancements following design specifications, ensuring accessibility, and to develop documents that clarify application design and code.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a single feature team delivering a cloud application or module; accountable for sprint execution, release readiness, and service health for the team’s components.
  • Leads application-focused code reviews to drive improvements.
  • Leads and reviews the team to conduct debugging and troubleshooting to identify and fix application issues within a single component or functional area.
  • Guides the team in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to application programming interface (API) functionality, integration, and service-to-service interactions.
  • Manages the team to design and develop application software, systems, and services.
  • Provides technical leadership and domain expertise in software architecture decisions and best practices.
  • Ensures team implements software testing (e.g., functional and non-functional), quality assurance processes, software error logging, monitoring, and observability for effective debugging.
  • Leverages prior experience and analysis to conduct performance profiling and optimization of coding.
  • Guides team in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to API functionality and integration.
  • Manages team to implement API versioning, lifecycle, and interoperability strategies.
  • Conducts periodic reviews and ensures adherence to architectural framework(s) and internal development practices and standards.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders within own group to align and build software architecture with business and/or customer goals and priorities.
  • Implements performance optimization and scalability strategies in software design.
  • May collaborate and communicate with stakeholders to understand customer use cases and align application solutions.
  • Manages the team to provide technical guidance and appropriately prioritize support to customers regarding application-related issues.
  • Enables direct reports to advocate for customers' interests and suggests product enhancements based on feedback.
  • Communicates regularly with stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction through timely resolution of issues and effective communication.
  • Provides guidance to team on processes for handling customer issues and/or defects and directs them to training opportunities as needed.
  • Investigates and troubleshoots product maintenance issues to ensure customer agreement on short- and long-term solutions.
  • Collaborates with the team and other stakeholders to establish, follow, and enforce documented security criteria, application development best practices and processes, and coding standards.
  • Ensures team adherence to broad acceptance criteria.
  • Implements moderately complex secure software development practices to prevent security vulnerabilities.
  • Manages the team to perform periodic maintenance and testing operations for application systems that require upgrading or patching (e.g., for critical vulnerabilities).
  • Guides team to follow standard operating procedures (SOP) for development and drive improvements, ensuring automation, testing, and debugging of systems to ensure service/product availability, health, support, and reliability.
  • Creates and owns the execution plan for the team's work and multiple projects or initiatives, monitoring timelines and budgets when applicable to ensure projects are completed on time and in adherence with requirements.
  • Delegates work across the team and helps them prioritize their work.
  • Identifies resource needs and adapts plans based on changing priorities and business needs.
  • Strengthens collaborative partnerships across teams to align expectations and shared objectives.
  • Guides team members to build relationships with business leaders, stakeholders, and/or customers to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Practices active listening and asks insightful questions to promote an inclusive culture.
  • Leads team to identify and address moderately complex operational and/or technical issues in accordance with standard practices, providing guidance as appropriate.
  • Directs team to analyze data and/or information from multiple sources to troubleshoot moderately complex errors.
  • Actively seeks learning opportunities for self and team to enhance knowledge and skills in key areas and remain current with industry advancements.
  • Uses feedback and training to elevate personal and team skills, modeling a commitment to learning.
  • Identifies skill gaps within the team and supports team members in learning opportunities by providing resources and fostering an environment that encourages knowledge-sharing.
  • Identifies and recommends improvements as well as encourages team to share ideas to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, protocols, and workflows within a team.
  • Reviews and provides feedback on team member's ideas and seeks input from others on alternative approaches and methods for improving work.
  • Coaches and provides direction to team members in alignment with performance management processes, guidelines, and expectations.
  • Facilitates goal setting discussions with team members, ensuring individual goals are aligned with broader team goals.
  • Identifies development opportunities to help team members improve performance.
  • Contributes to the talent acquisition pipeline by leading candidate interviews, assessing promotion eligibility, and managing talent resources.

Pay

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $114,000 - $234,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
