Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Lead and Senior Analytics Engineers
  • Write and review SQL/dbt code, ensuring high craftsmanship and documentation
  • Own the analytics platform roadmap, prioritizing impactful work
  • Collaborate with BI and Analytics groups to create scalable data models
  • Build out the semantic layer and define consistent business KPIs
  • Translate ambiguous business challenges into technical solutions
  • Champion data quality, governance, and incident response measures
  • Drive technical excellence and performance tuning in the dbt project
  • Shape hiring practices to recruit exceptional Analytics Engineers

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Business Intelligence with SQL expertise
  • 2+ years of people management experience leading senior individual contributors
  • Deep expertise with dbt and cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred)
  • Experience designing and operating a trusted semantic or metrics layer
  • Track record of collaborating with senior leaders to create durable data products
  • Strong communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to coach engineers and deliver against an ambitious roadmap
