About the role

This position oversees a substantial MRO Supplier facility. The role is responsible for delivering on key pillars that are essential to a successful airframe heavy maintenance model: ensuring the highest levels of quality, driving performance, and managing within budget. This is accomplished through the execution of supplier oversight duties by program managers at the facilities, while also ensuring key internal and external stakeholders are delivering on their commitments to a successful heavy maintenance check.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of a management team, personnel staffing schedule development, ensuring status of visits are current, and any variances are addressed
  • Managing performance of base checks, daily interactions on execution of base visits, coordination with internal stakeholder groups for near term plans and package content
  • Acting as interface with local supplier leadership, overseeing all facets of quality, performance, and financial performance
  • Reconciling of financial invoices and pursue cost savings opportunities for materials and labor efficiencies

Requirements

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent aviation experience
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Minimum of 7 years overall aviation industry experience; minimum of 3 years supervisory or project management experience in aviation related fields
  • Aircraft heavy maintenance, airline operations experience
  • Aircraft maintenance management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners
  • Proven organization and leadership skills with the ability to build, lead, and maintain strong, productive teams and working relationships
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • B.S. Degree in engineering or aviation related field
  • Fleet specific airworthiness release certification
  • Experience supervising management team members
  • Finance, Project Management, SCEPTRE experience
  • Experience in engineering, Inspection, or Planning roles

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $112,480.00 to $146,540.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
