Manager - AI Engineering (Build first (80%) and Lead second (20%)

About the role

R Systems is seeking an AI Management Role where the primary focus is on building AI/ML solutions (80%) and leading these efforts (20%). This position requires hands-on experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, and applied Natural Language Processing (NLP).

Responsibilities

• Build production AI solutions, particularly in real-time or agent-assist environments.
• Deploy AI models and ensure they are integrated into existing systems.
• Lead or mentor AI teams, maintaining a strong technical presence and guiding team members.
• Work on a variety of projects across different sectors, including healthcare, banking, e-commerce, and retail.
• Collaborate with leading global brands to develop innovative solutions.
• Benefit from technical guidance and upskilling opportunities within the Centre of Excellence (COE).

Requirements

• Proven track record of building and deploying production AI solutions.
• Experience working on text data such as call transcripts, customer interactions, or reviews.
• Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and NLP.
• A preference for experience in use cases such as auto summarization, sentiment analysis, next best offer/action, or agentic.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a strong fit for an AI/ML-first role, rather than a traditional software engineering or program management background.
