Manager Accounts Payable
About the role
The Accounts Payable Manager will lead the Accounts Payable team, oversee processes, and ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors. The role also involves managing vendor data, processing invoices, and administering expense and travel programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the Accounts Payable team, overseeing their work and implementing new systems and policies.
- Own the vendor setup and maintenance process, ensuring accurate and compliant vendor data.
- Manage AP month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, preparing and reviewing journal entries and closing tasks.
- Administer the Company's purchase card program, including card issuance, limit monitoring, and statement processing.
- Administer the Concur expense and travel platform, ensuring compliance and facilitating close deadlines.
- Prepare the monthly Cash Disbursement Authority (CDA) workbook and support internal stakeholders in meeting payment deadlines.
- Research and resolve issues with terminal managers, vendors, and stakeholders, fostering collaborative relationships.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounts payable processing, including full-cycle processing, general ledger, and chart of accounts.
- Proficiency with SAP (or a comparable ERP) and AP automation software.
- Working knowledge of expense and corporate-card platforms like Concur.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to independently solve problems and develop solutions.
Education, Experience, Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required. Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience, including supervisory experience, is preferred. Experience in the oil & gas, midstream, or manufacturing industries is a plus.
