About the role

Vituity is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in transforming healthcare through your expertise and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Create a development plan for each staff member.
  • Provide technical direction and support within the accounting department.
  • Mentor staff accountants for business and accounting practices.
  • Communicate with FP&A and clients' leadership on all accounting issues.
  • Work with managers and employees to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Participate in the development of objectives and management of staff.
  • Establish and monitor internal control of assets, including developing and writing accounting policies and procedures.
  • Aid in preparing the cash basis financials for all medical groups for tax purposes.
  • Prepare annual GAAP basis financial statements under the guidance of the Assistant Controller/Controller.
  • Coordinate the annual audit/tax filing for all entities.
  • Ensure that various fiscal deadlines are met, and appropriate data are provided.
  • Administer the development and implementation of procedures to gather necessary data ensuring sound and effective financial information and planning for the organization.
  • Ensure the monthly closing process is completed in a timely fashion.
  • Achieve accurate recording of all transactions.
  • Build and update financial reports as needed.
  • Work closely with Treasury on inter-company transactions.
  • Communicate with physician leadership, financial analysts, and managers regarding accounting reports and functions to ensure understanding of provided information.
  • Maintain oversight of CEPA entities' cash positions and make necessary transfers.
  • Provide timely and meaningful financial analysis.
  • Avoid unnecessary bank fees by identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support the accounting staff by providing technical direction and assistance.
  • Collaborate with IT and other department managers to ensure smooth operation of inter-departmental projects.
  • Help staff achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Offer necessary leadership and management skills to assigned finance functions.
  • Enhance other NetSuite/Coupa/Concur processes by automating manual tasks.
  • Create and maintain service level agreements with various departments.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years’ experience in Accounting.
  • Two to three years of progressive management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
  • Experience working with a multi-state company preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP preferred.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of current accounting and finance reporting practices.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookup, ability to write simple formulas, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to research and troubleshoot issues.
  • Able to work with high attention to detail and degree of accuracy.
  • Able to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by the duties of the position.
  • Able to evaluate and convey information effectively in reports to Finance, Operations, and Executive groups.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in order to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Able to establish and manage multiple priorities while meeting business critical deadlines.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to exhibit high standards of ethics, accountability, and responsibility.

Qualifications

Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $102,290 – $130,420, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program, which is based on the company’s annual performance.
