Manager, Accounting (Commercial)

Responsibilities

• Manage staff of 2
• Oversee and report on large projects and accounts for the commercial business with visibility to the leadership team
• Create a consistent flow to ensure transparency and collaboration
• Facilitate month end close and annual audits
• Identify, create, and maintain internal controls
• Supporting AR, AP, and Vancouver accounting teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or CPA
• 5-6 years of experience
• Team player who can work and communicate with all levels of employees
• Experience with Excel, Word, PPT, ERP

Key Metrics & Financial Targets

• Timely reporting packages for management review
• Deadlines for journal entries and reporting
• Make adjustments monthly
• Own: Management of staff and accountability for accurate reporting of the supply chain balance sheet
• Influence: All decisions and adjustments related to the commercial balance sheet
• Veto: Adjustments that may fall out of the scope of what is needed for balance sheet accounts

Pay

Competitive annual salary of $114,000 - $142,000 in Chicago, IL
