Manager Accounting

About the role

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the conservation, integrity, and maintenance of the organization’s financial records. This includes oversight of timely financial and statistical reporting, cash management, and the maintenance of the organization’s complete accounting system, including all general books and ledgers. The role ensures accurate preparation of financial statements and supports compliance with regulatory and audit requirements and adherence to collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) where applicable. Under direction of the Controller, this position provides administrative, technical, and supervisory leadership for the Accounting Department and its personnel, ensuring efficient operations aligned with organizational goals and healthcare industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Accounts Payable, Payroll, and General Ledger, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with organizational policies and CBAs.
• In collaboration with the Payroll Manager, oversee payroll processes in accordance with union contracts, including wage scales, differentials, overtime rules, and benefits provisions.
