Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking an experienced Empowered Official to join the Global Trade (GT) organization as a Manager 2, Global Trade. This position has responsibility to provide leadership and support for the Advanced Weapons Business Unit based out of NGDS office in Northridge, CA; Linthicum, MD; McLean, VA; Plymouth, MN, or Mesa, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Manages a team of Global Trade professionals
- Serves as Empowered Official for transactional compliance with ITAR and EAR regulations, license and agreement preparation and processing, and the use of exemptions and exceptions in lieu of licensing
- Prepare export authorization application packages, when required
- Drives accountability via metrics
- Provides advice, guidance, training and authorization strategy concerning the requirements, interpretation, and obligations of U.S. export regulations and implementation of such requirements
- Provides day-to-day people and subject matter leadership for the assigned team and creates an environment that accelerates development of talent
- Maintains awareness of changing export control laws and regulations and provides analysis regarding applicability and impact to services and technologies, as well as existing company export policies and procedures
