Spanning air, land, sea, and space, we develop the technology of tomorrow, delivered today. Our flexible work environment allows you to change the world without giving up your personal life, while putting our customers first with the mission: “We Protect Those Who Protect Us®.”

Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team focused on the research, development, and operational support of microelectronic fabrication and RF (Radio Frequency) technology. This role bridges advanced product design and high-yield manufacturing, ensuring microelectronic components meet stringent performance and reliability requirements for RF applications.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership & Strategy: Lead and manage a team of electronics, electrical, and materials engineers. Analyze emerging technology trends in microelectronics and RF to drive innovation and maintain technical superiority.
  • Product & Process Development: Oversee end-to-end development of microelectronic components. Design and implement new fabrication processes and modify existing workflows to improve yield, performance, and scalability.
  • RF Technology Integration: Ensure microelectronic designs are optimized for RF support, focusing on signal integrity, impedance matching, and mitigation of parasitic effects in the factory environment.
  • Testing & Validation: Develop and approve comprehensive test procedures for wafer-level and package-level validation. Oversee the transition from prototype to full-scale production, including automated test equipment (ATE) and environmental stress screening.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time and defect rates. Perform root-cause analysis on production failures and implement corrective actions to ensure product reliability.
  • Field & System Integration: Manage field-testing of integrated systems to validate microelectronic component performance in real-world RF environments.
  • Resource Management: Manage budget allocations for laboratory equipment and tooling. Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Master’s or PhD preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years in microelectronics fabrication or semiconductor manufacturing.
    • Proven experience in RF technology support (e.g., GaAs, GaN, or SiGe technologies).
    • 5+ years in a leadership or management role, overseeing engineering teams.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Deep understanding of cleanroom operations, photolithography, etching, and deposition processes.
    • Proficiency in RF design tools and measurement equipment (Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers).
    • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DoE).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality standards.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams across research and production environments.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $132,962 – $226,035. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
