About the role
This position is responsible to perform activities related to designing and teaching undergraduate college-level financial literacy and planning courses in the Management Department at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. This position must be able to address issues in a timely manner demonstrating excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Works independently, leads projects and collaborates with team members. Uses superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
Responsibilities
- Perform other related duties as assigned including attending the West Point Lab for Economic Security and providing end of semester reports on cadet performance.
Requirements
Minimum QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Master’s degree in business administration or a closely related field.
At least one (1) year of teaching experience.
Preferred (in Addition To The Minimum): AACSB accredited degree.
College-level teaching experience
Five (5) or more years of work experience in the field of finance.
Experience with Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL)
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Certification

Residency Requirements: Non-U.S. nationals, who are authorized to work in the US and applying for any DHS position, must have resided within the United States, or U.S. territories, for at least three of the last five years.
