Education, Experience, Licensing
- Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and one year of animal handling experience.
- Requires valid Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must possess Florida State Certification in euthanasia or willing to obtain within 90 days of employment.
Supplemental Information
- Considerable knowledge of local laws pertaining to animals.
- Knowledge of the geography of the County.
- Ability to remain calm in unusual and difficult situations.
- Ability to prepare and maintain routing work records and reports.
- Ability to communicate information in a courteous and informative manner.
- Knowledge of animal cruelty ordinances.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, co-workers, elected and appointed officials.
Work Hours and Days
- Rotating on-call schedule is required.
