Responsibilities

  • Ensures the proper and consistent implementation and application of policies, procedures, practices, and laws by advising staff throughout the region about various requirements to ensure the Region is in compliance.
  • Prepares budget requests and ensures monthly/quarterly financial reports are prepared accurately and within the established time frame.
  • Works closely with OASAM's financial office to ensure that requested financial transactions/issues are resolved and complete.
  • Plans, develops, and implements a comprehensive regional management analysis system primarily related to administrative management activities within the Region.
  • Obtains data from a variety of sources for analysis using Department of Labor and OSHA information systems.
  • Conducts or directs management surveys and analysis including, but not limited to, regional and field office policy and procedures; organizational structures and delegations of authority; and operations and work relationships.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
  • Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.

Qualifications

You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for Management Analyst, as described below. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must clearly indicate the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such position.

Qualifying Requirements For The GS-12 Are As Follows:

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-11.

Examples of specialized experience are:

  • Conducting analysis of work processes for use in evaluating the effectiveness of administrative operations.
  • Communicating both orally and in writing by preparing and presenting information and data to management officials.
  • Participating in administrative planning, policy or decision-making meetings regarding HR-related functions such as manpower, personnel management, or budget.
  • Managing administrative functions such as human resource management, financial management, records management, property management, or training administration.

There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-12 level.

Education

Any applicant falsely claiming an academic degree from an accredited school will be subject to actions ranging from disqualification from federal employment to removal from federal service. If your education was completed at a foreign college or university, you must show comparability to education received in accredited educational institutions in the United States and comparability to applicable minimum coursework requirements for this position.
