Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist with the full budget cycle, including reviewing expenditures and revenues, preparing projections, coordinating deadlines, and supporting departmental budget submissions.
- Support financial reporting activities by analyzing financial data and contributing to the preparation and accuracy of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.
- Review, prepare, and process a variety of administrative and financial documents such as contracts, amendments, invoices, purchase orders, and personnel-related forms.
- Prepare and facilitate staff reports, contracts, and background materials for City Council consideration; conduct background research; gather support materials; and appropriate approved budget adjustments.
- Support special projects, including maintaining the City’s Capital Improvement Program schedule, funding details, expenditures, and related charts, tables, and reporting materials.
- Participate in developing departmental goals and objectives; recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: Three (3) years of responsible governmental administrative experience.

- Physical Demands And Working Conditions: Mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment. Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen. Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects averaging a weight of 10 pounds.
