Management Accountant Job, Chatham, Kent - Up to £55k

We're looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in supporting the commercial performance of our expanding business.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate management accounts, providing commercial insight, and supporting operational decision-making across a business with multiple legal entities, ongoing acquisitions, and franchise/partnership arrangements. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to help drive performance while maintaining strong financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Support a Financial Controller or senior finance function in a multi-site environment.
• Provide commercial insight and translate financial data into meaningful business guidance.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to drive performance and maintain financial controls.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Management Accountant within a large, multi-site organisation (30+ sites or £30m+ turnover).
• At least 3 years' experience in a multi-site environment.
• CIMA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified (ACA also considered). Candidates whose highest qualification is AAT will be considered only with substantial subsequent practical experience, ideally alongside current study towards CIMA or ACCA.
• Knowledge of franchise and/or partnership business models — essential.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insight.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence partnering with stakeholders across the business.
• A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing organisation.
• An interest in embracing technology and a willingness to use AI tools to improve efficiency and support business processes.
• The ability to commute to our Chatham or Ilford office, living within approximately 40 minutes of the site.

Pay

£35,000–£55,000 per year, depending on experience
