Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Supporting the Head of Finance with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and board / group reporting
• Partnering with operational departments to monitor costs, identify trends and drive efficiencies
• Produce weekly performance and KPI reporting across the business
• Prepare VAT and CIS returns
• Oversee cash reporting, bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, and profit forecasting
• Support the annual budgeting process, including departmental budget setting and monitoring
• Develop and enhance financial reporting, internal controls, and business processes
• Provide insightful analysis and management information to support business decision making
• Liaise with Group finance teams, auditors and external advisors
• Deputise for the Head of Finance when required

Key Skills And Experience

This role would suit a qualified or nearly qualified ACA ACCA OR CIMA accountant, with experience within a finance role (construction or manufacturing environment preferred but not essential).

• Ownership of monthly management accounts
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
• Group reporting experience (preferred)
• Process improvement (preferred)
• Experience working with operational stakeholders

Working hours for this role are 07:45 - 17:00 Monday - Thursday and 08:00 - 13:00 Friday, with hybrid working options available.
