Mammography/X-Ray

About the role

At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and we have an opening for a Mammography/DXA Technologist to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Follow MQSA and ACR guidelines to position patients and imaging equipment for a variety of mammography images and procedures.
• In Bone Density, demonstrate consistency in precision and repeated positioning of specific anatomy on the same patients and on varied patients.
• Utilize radiation protection by adhering to ALARA.
• Demonstrate competence in use of all pertinent electronic health systems.
• Ensure all images are stored in PACS accurately.
• Participate in QA and QI as determined and required by QA Tech/Radiation Safety Officer/Manager or Medical Director.

Qualifications

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists — Registered in Radiology and Mammography
• Current BCLS certification
• ISCD certification in Bone Density is preferred but not required
• We will train the right candidate
• Two years' experience preferred but not required
