Position Overview: Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Mammographer to join their Medical Imaging team in Ontario, Oregon. The Mammographers provide the skills and knowledge necessary to perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures and clinical breast examinations. This role is essential to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining high clinical, safety, and documentation standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements
- Conduct clinical breast examinations as appropriate
- Accurately and completely document patient and procedure information
- Operate and maintain mammography equipment to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams, adapting communication to patient age and cognitive capacity
- Deliver professional, compassionate care that reflects Saint Alphonsus’ mission and values
Requirements
- Registered Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Must obtain ARRT Mammography certification within 1 year of hire
- Active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross at time of hire
- Active driving privileges
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Current registration as a radiologic technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ARRT Mammography certification within 1 year of hire
- Active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross at time of hire
- Active driving privileges
