About the role
A Mammography Technologist who delivers high-quality diagnostic imaging while adhering to medical standards and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform mammography procedures, position patients, and develop films to ensure optimal image quality.
- Evaluate images for technical accuracy and quality control.
- Provide patient education, address concerns, and ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
- Maintain radiation safety standards and adhere to regulatory guidelines (MQSA/ACR).
- Ensure proper patient identification, accurate data entry into computer systems, and maintain confidentiality.
- Monitor equipment and perform quality assurance activities.
- Respond quickly to contrast reactions, assist with first aid when necessary, and follow safety protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, participate in shift rotations, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and Basic Life Support certification.
- State of Washington Mammography Technologist certification and ARRT-M registration or willingness to train with two years of radiology experience.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of mammography experience.
