About the role

A Mammography Technologist who delivers high-quality diagnostic imaging while adhering to medical standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography procedures, position patients, and develop films to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Evaluate images for technical accuracy and quality control.
  • Provide patient education, address concerns, and ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
  • Maintain radiation safety standards and adhere to regulatory guidelines (MQSA/ACR).
  • Ensure proper patient identification, accurate data entry into computer systems, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Monitor equipment and perform quality assurance activities.
  • Respond quickly to contrast reactions, assist with first aid when necessary, and follow safety protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, participate in shift rotations, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and Basic Life Support certification.
  • State of Washington Mammography Technologist certification and ARRT-M registration or willingness to train with two years of radiology experience.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of mammography experience.
