About the role
Perform specialized breast examinations to aid in diagnosis and treatment, operate advanced mammography equipment, and ensure high-quality imaging.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic and screening mammograms.
- Assist radiologists with intricate procedures including biopsies.
- Educate patients on procedures and promote safety and privacy.
- Document all procedures accurately.
- Escalate complex issues to senior staff.
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Valid RT and Mammography certifications in California (ARRT-R, ARRT-M; preferred in CA and HI).
- BLS certification and MRT license.
- Preferred experience as a Mammography Technologist.
- Additional skills in venipuncture and fluoroscopy are a plus.
- Adherence to infection control, patient safety, and facility-specific policies, including vaccination mandates.
- Strong technical, decision-making, and patient care abilities.
- Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
