About the Role

The Mammography Technologist performs specialized breast examinations to aid in diagnosis and treatment. They operate advanced equipment, conduct diagnostic and screening mammograms, and assist radiologists with intricate procedures such as biopsies. The role involves patient education, ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety, while adhering to infection control protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality mammography procedures and prepare films for radiologist review.
  • Gather patient information and communicate preparation instructions.
  • Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort during exams.
  • Report issues or challenges to senior staff and perform additional job-related duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology (required).
  • Licenses: RA, Mammography Technologist, ARRT-R, ARRT-M (as applicable).
  • Required certifications include BLS and MRT; fluoroscopy and venipuncture preferred.
  • Experience as a Mammography Technologist is preferred.
