Mammography Technologist, Part-Time - AbbVie Foundation Cancer Pavilion

Responsibilities

  • Imaging breast radiographs to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
  • Patient education and data collection.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Perform breast interventional procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist.
  • Participate in the quality assurance program.
  • Review images for diagnostic quality and proper positioning.
  • Maintain the integrity of the online picture archive and radiology information system.
  • Interface with customers, patients, and medical staff.
  • Share information about new techniques and procedures with colleagues.
  • Train new staff and student technologists.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant physical work environment.
  • Comply with infection control regulations.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalency.
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current Advanced Certification Certificate in Mammography by ARRT.
  • Licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a radiographer.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good decision-making and judgment skills.
  • Able to function in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Required certification from an approved AMA program in Radiological Technology.
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must demonstrate good decision-making and judgment skills.
  • Able to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain required mammography continuing education as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act.
  • CPR Certification.
