About the role
We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic mammography services in accordance with physician orders and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform mammography imaging, position patients comfortably, and develop films with proper techniques.
- Evaluate image quality, verify physician orders, and ensure proper patient identification.
- Input patient data accurately into computer systems and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Provide excellent customer service, explain procedures, and address patient concerns.
- Ensure radiation safety, perform equipment checks, and adhere to regulatory standards (MQSA/ACR).
- Monitor patients during procedures, respond to contrast reactions, and assist with first aid if needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized radiology room and participate in safety and quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with team members, participate in shift rotations, and follow all safety protocols and policies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and Basic Life Support certification.
- State of Washington Mammography Technologist certification and AART-M registration, or willingness to train with two years of radiology experience.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Qualifications
Preferred: one year of mammography experience.
