About the role
A Day in the Life: Under general supervision and in consultation with the Radiologist, the Mammography Technologist performs both routine and complex mammographic procedures, accurately calculating and selecting appropriate technical factors to ensure optimal equipment performance and precise patient positioning for specialized examinations. The overall purpose of this role is to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging that supports early detection and compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining safety and clinical excellence. Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex mammographic procedures
- Calculate and select appropriate technical factors for optimal equipment performance
- Ensure precise patient positioning for specialized examinations
- Provide high-quality diagnostic imaging supporting early detection and patient-centered care
- Maintain safety and clinical excellence
Requirements
- Must have passed or be eligible for the post-primary certification in Mammography (certification must be completed within one year of employment)
- Must have passed the examination of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and remain in good standing
- Mammography experience required
- BLS Certification with annual renewal
- Must be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella
- Must receive an annual flu vaccine or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption
