About the role
Provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in accordance with physician orders.
Responsibilities
- Perform mammography procedures by positioning patients, operating radiological equipment, developing films, and evaluating image quality.
- Ensure patient safety, maintain radiation safety standards, and adhere to regulations (MQSA/ACR).
- Provide patient education and support to alleviate anxiety and ensure cooperation.
- Accurately input patient data into computer systems and manage patient information.
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked radiology environment and participate in quality assurance activities.
- Respond effectively to contrast reactions and ensure proper patient identification and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members, comply with safety policies, and support patient-focused care.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and BLS certification at hire.
- Knowledge of patient care, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service.
- State certification as Mammography Technologist and ARRT-M registration preferred.
- 1 year of mammography experience is a plus.
