Mammography Technologist

About the role

Seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures with expertise in screening, diagnostic, biopsies, and magseed techniques. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, conducting studies independently and in various settings, and ensuring quality control. Responsibilities include operating digital mammography, ultrasound, stereotactic breast biopsy, and MRI equipment within a dedicated Breast Center.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures
• Perform diagnostic studies accurately and efficiently
• Maintain quality control and ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Associate or Trade School education
• Licenses & Certifications: IEMA (Illinois only, excluding MRI), RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES
• CPR and IV Therapy preferred
• Experience with screening, diagnostic procedures, biopsies, and magseed is preferred; no prior experience required
• Ability to work independently and handle portable exams and on-call situations
