Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other devices, adhering to established company policies and protocols.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
  • Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection, and other equipment adjustments to produce high-quality images.
  • Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognize discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
  • Guide patients through the process by explaining steps, answering questions, and addressing concerns about exam procedures.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Demonstrate competency in safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Respect company property, including cash and patient financial information on-site or on patient portals.
  • Exhibit and maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers, responding to the needs of others.
  • Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Requirements

  • Genuinely passionate about patient care and able to exercise sound judgment while remaining professional in all situations.
  • Effective and professional communication, interpersonal skills, and respect for patients, guests, and colleagues.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work with a structured approach, and solve complex problems.
  • ARRT(R)(M) certification.
  • State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
  • BLS certification.
  • At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Pay

$36.00–$44.00 per hour
