About the role
This role empowers you to grow your skills as a Mammography Technologist at Cleveland Clinic’s Strongsville Family Health and Surgery Center. You will work in a collaborative environment focused on clinical excellence, patient safety, and exceptional imaging quality.Responsibilities
- Review mammography requisition and computer exam forms to determine the type of exam required.
- Accurately position patients, determine the exposure factors, and operate mammography equipment according to established procedures to obtain a high-quality image.
- Review processed images to determine quality and the need for additional images.
- Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and the exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Ensure patients' safety and comfort during and after the exam.
- Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via CAD and PACS.
- Complete after-hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork.
- Report any malfunctions to help desk and PACS Administrator.
- Process billing via RIS.
- Assist with all policies and procedures required by local, state, and federal law, and with compliance or credentialing bodies (ACR, MQSA, Medicare, Medicaid, FDA, etc.).
- Absorb and maintain knowledge of new technical information and skills through periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions.
- Rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities, sites, and/or locations.
Requirements
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. R.T.(R) (ARRT), in good standing
- Certification in Mammography: R.T.(R) (M) (ARRT)
- Current state licensure (RL) required prior to employment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
- Successful completion of 40 hours of mammography training
Qualifications
- One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
Physical Requirements
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Pay
- Minimum hourly: $33.50
- Maximum hourly: $48.50
