We are seeking a per diem Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures while supporting a positive, reassuring experience for every patient.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures using appropriate imaging equipment and techniques.
- Position patients accurately and compassionately, using immobilization when necessary to support image quality and patient safety.
- Select proper imaging modes and exposure factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and obtain additional images as needed.
- Prepare and set up medical supplies using aseptic technique when appropriate.
- Explain procedures clearly to patients and help create a supportive, comfortable care experience.
- Recognize the needs and behaviors of patients across age groups, including differences in growth, development, aging, understanding, and physical limitations.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- An Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience required, in accordance with state, federal, and regulatory agency rules and regulations.
- Radiologic Technologist and Technician state license preferred.
- Registered Technologist credential through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, R.T.(ARRT), preferred.
- Mammography certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, R.T.(M)(ARRT), preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification preferred.
