Mammography Technologist

About the role

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily mammography, on adult and pediatric patients for diagnosis and treatment. Cross-training for bone density may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures
• Perform mammography studies independently, including portable exams and on-call situations
• Ensure patient comfort and maintain safety standards
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment efficiently

Requirements

• Associate degree or Trade School equivalent
• Certifications: IEMA (Illinois only, excluding MRI), RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, or RCES
• No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred
• Additional certifications such as CPR and IV therapy are advantageous
