Mammography Technician - Part Time

About the role

This is a part-time mammography technologist role responsible for performing all mammography procedures under the supervision of a licensed practitioner, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment support.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures following technical and positioning protocols.
• Verify physician orders and consult with radiologists as needed.
• Explain procedures and provide patient education.
• Conduct equipment warm-up, calibration, and safety checks.
• Operate hospital computer systems and maintain departmental records.
• Report equipment malfunctions and perform quality control per manufacturer guidelines.
• Collect statistical data and communicate patient reactions or condition changes to radiologists and physicians.
• Responsibilities centered on technical proficiency, patient communication, and equipment management within established safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved radiologic technology program.
• Must hold IEMA License and be eligible or registered with AART.
• Certification in Mammography or eligibility through ARRT required.

Skills

• 1-2 years of mammography experience preferred.
