Mammography Technician
About the role
Mammography Technician positions are available for 13 weeks at our Cumming, GA location. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients while ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety throughout imaging procedures.
- Auxiliary work includes assisting radiologists with breast biopsy procedures and other interventional breast imaging services.
- Conduct quality control checks on mammography equipment to ensure optimal image quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Accurately maintain patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Adhere to radiation safety, infection prevention, and quality assurance guidelines.
- Collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Mammography experience within the specialty.
- Required Certifications: AHA BLS, ARRRT Mammography Certification.
Qualifications
No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.
