Mammography Tech (Full-Time)

Facility: Novant Health Breast Center – 315 Lillington Avenue, Charlotte, North Carolina 28204, United States. Full-time position.

About the role

MedQuest Associates, a trusted partner of Novant Health Systems, is seeking dynamic Mammography Technologists to join our innovative team. We operate nine breast centers and offer an internal multi-modality training program dedicated to team-member growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening mammograms under supervision.
• Assist in patient education and preparation.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the mammography procedure.
• Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the mammography procedure.
• Perform equipment maintenance and sterilization to keep the mammography machine in optimal condition.
• Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
• Participate in quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards of practice.
• Stay informed about the latest developments and trends in diagnostic mammography.
• Utilize Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system for patient documentation and record-keeping.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification in Mammography and Mammography registry.
• Completed required CEUs in a timely manner to maintain active certification.
• Active state licensure, where applicable.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Qualifications

• Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Continuing education in diagnostic mammography and related fields.

Schedule

40 hours per week; possibility of a 4×10 schedule.
