Mammography Tech - Contingent - Days

About the role

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs Radiologic breast imaging procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by a physician. Performs related functions according to department protocols.

Responsibilities

• Determines appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices with independent judgment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) (or registry eligible).
• Maintains required hours of continued medical education.
• Maintains MQSA criteria and other regulatory agency requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) (or registry eligible).
• If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire. Failure to obtain registry within the designated timeframe will result in termination of the Mammography Tech position.
