Early detection saves lives. As a Mammography Technologist, you'll play a critical role in helping women receive timely, accurate diagnoses while creating a positive, reassuring experience during what can often be a stressful time. Your technical expertise and compassionate approach will directly contribute to better patient outcomes and exceptional care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures following established imaging protocols.
  • Produce high-quality images that assist radiologists in identifying potential abnormalities.
  • Verify patient identity, physician orders, and relevant medical history before each examination.
  • Explain procedures clearly to patients while providing reassurance and compassionate care.
  • Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images while minimizing discomfort.
  • Prepare examination rooms and equipment before and after procedures while maintaining strict infection control and safety standards.
  • Assist physicians during breast biopsy procedures as needed.
  • Perform quality control testing and routine equipment checks.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure accurate imaging and minimize repeat examinations.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current ARRT certification.
  • State Radiologic Technologist license (as applicable).
  • ARRT Mammography Certification (ARRT(M)).
  • Strong knowledge of breast anatomy, imaging techniques, and patient positioning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • 3+ years of Mammography experience.
  • Experience assisting with breast biopsy procedures.
  • Experience working in an outpatient women's imaging or breast center.

Monday – Friday
