About the role
Seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Mammography to perform imaging services in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Operate mammography equipment and prepare patients.
- Select technical parameters and develop high-quality images.
- Explain procedures, educate patients on breast health, and ensure prompt, accurate image submission to PACS.
- Follow radiation safety protocols.
- Maintain equipment functionality, report malfunctions, and keep the department clean and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Radiology Technology program.
- ARRT-R credential required.
- ARRT-M Mammography certification within 12 months if not already obtained.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- State-specific licensure or temporary accreditation, where applicable.
Physical requirements
- Constant standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and occasional bending or kneeling.
- Ability to lift and move patients and objects up to 50 lbs.
- Requires alertness, attention to safety, and proficiency in communication and technical skills.
