Hourly wage estimate: $32.95 - $49.42. The typical candidate is hired below the midpoint of the range. This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Obtains quality mammograms with the ability to adapt to specific patient morphology.
  • Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self; utilizes Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Operates radiographic equipment safely and competently.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations (e.g., Meditech).
  • Ensures proper charges are entered and referring physicians’ orders are verified.
  • Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepares examination rooms for mammography procedures.
  • Monitors inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintains room cleanliness and neat appearance.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of quality assurance and assists the supervisor in the implementation and documentation of all policies and procedures mandated by the FDA through MQSA.
  • Reviews each exam for technical accuracy (e.g., markers on images, technical quality, anatomical positioning, annotation) at workstation.
  • Completes verification process in PACS.
  • Assists in additional duties such as film and report filing and answering the telephone when appropriate.
  • Completes and maintains educational requirements.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patient information according to Policy and Procedure.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • (ARRT-R) Radiography Vocational School Graduate.
  • (ARRT-M) Mammography, or Mammographic Radiologic Technologist.
  • One year of experience as a Staff Mammographer.
