Responsibilities

• Aid in room preparation, including cleaning and supply setup.
• Support radiologists in interventional breast procedures.
• Inform patients and physicians about appointment delays.
• Follow departmental protocols to ensure image quality and safety standards.
• Operate imaging equipment and maintain knowledge of radiology systems such as EPIC and PACS.
• Maintain documentation, logs, and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Participate in training students and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
• Provide detailed patient histories for accurate image interpretation.
• Report supply or equipment issues promptly.

Qualifications & Skills

• Formal training in an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Valid Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) license.
• Registry or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Proficiency in modality physics, equipment operation, and anatomy knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Maintains ARRT Mammography certification and meets Level 1 requirements.
• Proficient in diagnostic exams and breast needle localizations.
• Physical ability to handle patient positioning and equipment handling.
