About the Role

The Make Ready Technician ensures returned equipment is inspected for damage, cleaned, and prepared for the next rental. This position also maintains the cleanliness and organization of the equipment yard, assists customers with loading and unloading equipment, and requires a basic understanding of equipment operation and trailer loading.

Work Environment

Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering materials or equipment—some of which may be heavy or awkward. Work is typically performed in a comfortable environment but involves regular exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort.

Responsibilities

• Inspect returned equipment for damage and ensure it is in good working order.
• Clean and prepare equipment for the next rental.
• Maintain a clean and organized equipment yard.
• Ensure rental equipment is stored in its proper location.
• Assist customers with loading and unloading equipment.
• Operate equipment and load trailers as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift approximately 70 lbs.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Clear spoken and written English; ability to speak another language is a plus.
• Must pass a company drug screen.
• Acceptable attendance record.
• Full range of motion and dexterity.
• Ability to apply rational thinking to solve problems.
• Ability to provide, understand, and complete instructions in written, oral, or scheduled form.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers.
• High degree of patience.
