Make a Difference! Work with High School Exchange Students & Host Families

About the role

Education Travel & Culture (ETC) is a non-profit [501(c)(3)] educational exchange organization that provides inbound program opportunities for high school students throughout the world to study in an American high school and live with an American family, and outbound programs offering students the chance to study and live in a foreign country. We are looking for a part-time/supplemental income Local Coordinator to join our team and support our mission of spreading international goodwill.

Responsibilities

• Share the hosting opportunity through connecting with people in person, social media, or other means
• Identify qualified host families for our high school exchange students
• Work closely with exchange students, host families, and local high schools including monthly oversight of the exchange student
• Recruit host families through reverse networking, job postings, phone calls and outbound emails

Qualifications

• Ability to solve problems and support students and host families during the students' program
• Self-motivated, organized, well-networked within the community
• Driver's License and transportation
• Ability to pass a Background Check
• Recruitment skills with the ability to screen potential leads (Nice-to-have)

Pay

Compensation is dependent upon recruitment efforts and student oversight. You will be compensated for each host family that you identify, completes the host family verification process and hosts a student. This position provides supplemental income ONLY.

Schedule

This is an independent contractor position which enables you to work at home and within your own schedule. Your hours in the role vary based on your individual effort and how many exchange students you oversee.
