About the Volunteer Role
Residential Hospice is seeking dedicated volunteers to help patients and families during their end-of-life journey. Our volunteers provide companionship and friendship to patients wherever they are, be it at a nursing facility or at home. If you are compassionate and caring and looking to help others in your community, we'd love for you to consider volunteering with our patients and families.
Volunteer Activities
- Reading aloud to patients
- Doing puzzles with patients
- Attending facility activities with patients
- Listening to music with patients
- Talking and providing companionship
- Holding a patient's hand
- Providing respite for caregivers by sitting with a patient while the caregiver takes time for themselves
