Major Gifts Professional II (Athletics)

About the role

This position supports the major gifts program by cultivating meaningful donor relationships and enhancing philanthropic engagement for Arizona Athletics. The Major Gifts Professional II partners with donors through strategic stewardship, donor recognition, and fundraising initiatives that advance the department’s mission and long-term fundraising priorities.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and steward major donors to increase philanthropic support for Arizona Athletics
• Develop and implement strategies to engage and retain key donors
• Manage donor files and maintain accurate records of all interactions
• Plan and execute events and programs to recognize and engage donors
• Collaborate with other departments to align fundraising efforts with broader university goals

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in major gifts fundraising or related field
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with donor management software is preferred

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually.

Schedule

The Major Gifts Professional II works a standard Monday through Friday schedule with occasional evening and weekend events.
