Maintence Assistant

General Purpose

The primary purpose of your job position is to maintain the grounds, facility, equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor, to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.

Essential Duties

• Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for respective shift or area.
• Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they may be. (NOTE: Such occurrences must be reported on the shift in which they occur.)
• Cook up daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.

Qualification

• Education and/or Experience: Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Language Skills: Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism. Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Prolonged use of a desktop or laptop computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and talk, read or hear. Frequent use of all office-related equipment to include; copier/scanner/fax, telephone, and calculator. May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
