About the role
This position involves performing minor grounds maintenance, overseeing bus evacuations, and fulfilling various indoor and outdoor duties.
Responsibilities
- Ensures entrances and exits are free from debris
- Maintains sidewalks clear of ice/snow
- Maintains surfaces under playground structures according to safety requirements
- Trains children and youth on safe bus evacuation procedures
- Documents all evacuation drills
- Notifies supervisor of hazards, malfunctions, and damaged materials
- Works both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Operates vehicles in a controlled traffic environment
- Works irregular hours, evenings, and weekends
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid state driver's license or CDL with no restrictions
- Ability to communicate in English
- Experience in grounds maintenance and bus evacuation
Qualifications
- Two-page resume required
- Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements
- One-year probationary period may be required
- Must satisfactorily complete E-Verify, background checks, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation
- Must pass a current health assessment and immunizations
- Must sign DA Form 5019-R
- Must be subject to random drug tests
