Maintenance Worker II

About the role

The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Worker II to join their team. This position offers a competitive pay range of $22.53 - $27.71 per hour and includes benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Life Insurance, and Paid Time Off.

Responsibilities

• Utilize carpentry, mechanical, and painting skills to construct concrete forms and fencing, maintain drainage systems, operate various job-related equipment, and assist in carpentry projects.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs on pumps and motors, electrical system maintenance including air conditioning, and assist in landscape construction, sprinkler systems, and grounds maintenance.
• Contribute to the safety and aesthetic of the community by ensuring a well-maintained environment.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED certificate.
• A valid Nevada Driver License and eligibility for the RSIC Vehicle Insurance Program.
• Able to perform consistent and extended physical work including bending, stooping, lifting, pulling, and other activities in a variety of environmental conditions.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• A minimum of four (4) years of prior experience performing basic maintenance and construction work or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Able to obtain a First Aid and CPR certification within one (1) year of employment.

Qualifications

Candidates must demonstrate a strong physical capacity and ability to communicate effectively in English.

Skills

Knowledge and skills required for the position include a high school diploma or GED certificate, a valid Nevada Driver License, ability to perform consistent and extended physical work, effective communication skills, and a minimum of four (4) years of prior experience in maintenance or construction work.
